1. The kazuma does provide better gains than any exhaust on the market.
2. You are generally not going to feel most mods. I just put on my TRD
Extended exhaust, and I felt nothing. It's hard to feel 5 horsepower or so. I still think it's funny when people say they feel more power after they install alternator pulleys or grounding wires. Seems to be a case of mind over matter.
3. What the hell did you expect buying an exhaust with no resonator? To anyone else who is considering buying a kazuma, just unbolt your exhaust at the rear axle, and drive around like that for a day or so and see if you like it or not. Should be just as loud as the kazuma.
ditto..kazuma is the best exhaust for power gains (unless you get custom piping that has a larger diameter when you start using forced induction or nitrous).
there is a silencer you can purchase..although some people have said it doesn't work well.
the kazuma exhaust is the only true cat-back exhaust available in retail and it has no muffler so airflow is not hindered as much (and also why it is so loud and why the gains are larger than in any other exhaust)
the kazuma exhaust IS emissions legal, it is NOT sound legal. when used with a silencer, it therefore becomes legal..but also ur gains are reduced to close to stock.
When equipped with a silencer, it is still not legal.
Took this from Missouri (where I live) state law, and it should be similiar around the country...
2. Muffler cutouts: Muffler cutouts shall not be used and no vehicle shall be driven in such manner or condition that excessive and unnecessary noises shall be made by its machinery, motor, signaling device, or other parts, or by any improperly loaded cargo. The motors of all motor vehicles shall be fitted with properly attached mufflers of such capacity or construction as to quiet the maximum possible exhaust noise as completely as is done in modern gas engine passenger motor vehicles.
Any cutout or opening in the exhaust pipe between the motor and the muffler on any motor vehicle shall be completely closed and disconnected from its operating lever, and shall be so arranged that it cannot automatically open, or be opened or operated while such vehicle is in motion.
As you can see, a vehicle without a muffler (resonator) equipped is not street legal. Even if the vehicle was legal, with the silencer, the kazuma is no where close to being legal sound-wise.
