I need a bit of help or confirmation about Blue Batmobiles H4 overlay kit, it seems things are mislabelled...

But anyways, do these arrangements look correct?

I understand some trimming is required since there is considerable overlap on all pieces, should there be any overlap at all though and other than the one big piece (picture one) does it matter what order they go in? Instructions are incredibly vague.

How about what order they go in, any recommendations? Or should it be laid on as I have set in sequence of the photo's?

Well I have struggled with the first light.. which I still think at least one of the pieces was mislabled.

Things don't fit very well though, I have done some cutting but still things raise up.. actually, it just really does this on the big piece (first pic in the above) and it's almost like a incision needs to be made because cutting the sides away doesn't do a whole lot.. either way, I don't understand why things aren't already cut perfectly considering every seventh gen. has the exact same lights.

Well that's the thing.. I don't believe those are air bubbles, they are the vinyl folding upwards, but I'll try. I think today I'll try a bit of a differant method and order to putting the left side on.

HORRIBLE INSTALL!!!!!! thumbsdown

I'm 95% sure use did not use a heat gun or hair drier, no soapy water or soft cloth. Bat can not nor should not take any blame for a piss poor install.

I'm sorry but it makes me sick when I see these go so wrong when its really very simple with the right tools.

You must have on hand with any vinyl install:
Razor blades
soft cloth
spray bottle full of water with about two drops or dish soap or baby shampoo
hair dryer or heat gun (to shape the vinyl on the curves)

With all these tools used right your install will look tip top with little to no need for cutting. Also you should have no bubbles or other blemishes of any type.

^^^ no need to cut that part or any other, sorry but its true. Not to be cocky (really, not trying to come of that way), but I could install the eyelid in one part. I think its a little sad that Andy felt he need it to cut it up to make it easier on people, as you can see it did not help. But for those of use that know what we are doing we are forced to use several part and not get a 100% clean install.

So I should cut the center down the middle? Because that is the only real problematic piece.

And for the rest of your info., I have indeed used a soapy water and a razor and the instructions mentions nothing about a hairdryer.

I still don't understand why things were not cut precisely so installation wasn't a snap.

This pic should make a point. Also note that my cab fuse cover and the fake sister part on the driver side are also custom vinyl wraped. Also not pictured is the left A pillar, cd holder lid (the thing between the seats), and the door sills. All do by me in my drive way with 36" roll of black and 18" roll of silver that I got from Andy. BTW the AC flaps are Andys kit.

No hair dryer is the missing part, heat lets you shrink and stretch the vinyl as needed to form over a curve. Again not Andys problem, people really need to do there homework before doing a custom vinyl install.

I disagree, when you sell a product you are liable to list all appropriate tools required and adequette instructions and properly fitting parts, just like anything else. You can't presume people know every aspect to what they are doing.

Sorry, but not many people out there know how to apply vinyls, and if you are selling a product for this much, I don't think it would be too much to ask for a little more detailed instructions.

Ha, the "la la land" some people live in. Andy instructions are some of the best I have seen, wait till you buy a kit from a larger company that comes with no directions.

So if is directions included a line something like this:

"A hair dryer or heat gun can also be used to smooth out bubbles or lines in the vinyl."

Would that all of a sudden make you do it right? No! Andy can't teach you technique, nor tell you how to have it.
