Moving violations?

Is not having a front plate considered a moving violation? Also if you have your stereo to loud what kind of violation is that?

probably fix-it-ticket on the first, disturbing the peace on the second. Just keep your front plate right next to, and if you start to get pulled over...just subtly slide it into the crack between the windshield and dash. That's what I do. And that passes with the cops. According to the instructions that came with my plates...I have to have a plate on the front and one on the back...it doesn't say specifically where like on the bumper.
If you get pulled over for having your music too loud, quickly turn it down when you stop, and when they ask you about why it was so loud...tell them you didn't realize it was so loud because you just turned it on...and you didn't want to turn it down until you stopped because you wanted to watch out for traffic and be safe. thumbsup Who knows, it might work if you deliver a good Performance. I always talk my way out of stuff. grin

depends where you live, in CA a loud stereo eithers get you shot or stolen or a ticket. In Ohio you might get a violation for waking up the cows or sheep. For plates read above

The important thing to remember whether its a moving violation or fix-it ticket or whatever... is they can check out a lot more once they stop you - don't give them an excuse to stop you in the first place.

Where I come from you would get a warning for both of those. But disturbing the peace can get you upto a $1500 fine. I know a guy that they finally ticketed after they warned him twice & he would just turn it back up when the cops left.

They can if they have probable cause - They can't search anyones car without permission unless they have probable cause. Probable cause can be anything... they saw your buddy reaching under the seat as you were being pulled over, there is a beer can on the back seat, they say they smell weed, etc etc

parent still has to be there even with probable cause.

I think you are going to be in for a big surprise if you ever want to test out that theory.

They'll still search the car if they don't care enough; but it's an unlawful search, anything they find etc etc won't be valid.. IF the defendent is smart enough to document that and bring it up. If they don't, the cops aren't gonna do it for you
