hrmm preferation?

so heres a debate on two things id like to get
1. Short Ram Intae
2. Cold Air Intake

i was just wondering what the difference between the two were, besides the basics off how they go on and how one takes cold air from bottom etc, but i was wondering if you guys could put the pros and cons of both for me, and also the gain difference

CAI is a better investment, you don't have to worry about heat Intake, but you do have to worry about bogging, but if you get a splash shield you'll be fine. if you get a CAI I suggest the TPR, if you don't have to worry about CARB that is, by means of CARB legal, I dunno much about either AEM or Injen. Short Ram is good if you wanna increase your low end(correct me if i'm wrong) but the CAI I belive will produce better gains than a SRI, Check previous posts, there's A LOT of them, Emphasis on A LOT!

Hope this helps ya thumbsup

^^^ Good Idea! saves you from bogging, you might also want to invest in a splash guard and a Bypass valve thumbsup better security so you don't hydrolock

I love my Short Ram. I have never had a problem with it boggin down.

From what I understand the SRI gives better low end and the CAI gives better high end.

I'm gonna take your little Civic. Dust it off. Turn it sideways and stick it straight up you candy A*s.

ive heard too many problems from people with CAI, and Short Ram is prone to the same kind of problems. personally i think i am going for some headers and a TRD filter. CAI is going to give about 6 hp diff from TRD filter, Short Ram like 4hp diff and you dont have to worry about puddles or the rain. cool
