I've got a 1992 Celica GT 2.2L. I've heard about swapping the engine with a 3S-GTE engine. Where could I get more info about this engine and swapping it?

Or better (no offense Erick smile ) a 5th gen specific website. Offhand, I only know specific websites for the 4th and 6th gens; but celica.net has a ton of information still; try there.

Celica.net would be your best bet. But there is no clean cut 3S swap. Good Luck...I'm planning on doing that swap as well. thumbsup

i would totally do the swap too, but i'm just waiting to see which ever will come first: either my engine poops out on me or a great deal on a local all-trac pops up. Either one, I'm still going 5th gen.

I did the swap and the car came to life. I highly recommend it to anyone. It is really easy except for some misc wiring and other little things. If you have any questions about it, just let me know, I will be happy to answer them.

you do not have to transfer yours to AWD but you can with a lot of work, what you will have to do is buy a manual tranny from a 5th gen, then the clutch and all of that...then install it as just a non AWD.
