ok, you have an AEM right? you know how it kindda boggs down when you first start the car ? well this mod will fix it . It has to do with the size of the pipeing etc... and the way the fins are. the stock airbox pip is 2.5, and the AEM Intake pipe is 3" it will look something like this when finished.

you should have gotten the TPR Intake - less work involved...

I allready bought an AEM the first week I got my celica. and I didn't have the money to get a new one, so I just moded it .

yeah, I have the AEM cai as well and no CEL believe it or not, but the gains of the TPR on both low and high end are impressive and there's no bogging or cel's to speak of...

wow...wished blue bomber advertises here so that he can give ecelica.com members more options as far as Intake moifications. i mean us people in cali would love to stick this in our carb approved injen and aem Intakes...it would be a good compromise since tpr is not carb'd approved...

so did you buy that piece and add it to the Intake or what? and how much etc...

he took it from a stock air box.. basically you have to chop up a stock box to get that part.. happywink

not recommend it if you think down the road to put ur stock airbox back..buy it from someone who doesn't want their airbox no more..that's what i'm trying to do.. thumbsup

^^it does, but it's something to help with the bogging and slack of the Intake..so..if it work then it work..no harm in trying it out..

the harm is that you ruin you Intake and stock air box hose...

well I bought an extra airbox so I don't have anything to worry about . and i'm totally finished with it , I just got finished painting it black and stuff. so it looks nice.
