I have a 04 GT and it comes with 6 speakers (i'm sure everybody knew that) I know that the GTS comes with 8 speakers, my question is, where are the other 2 speakers? I was thinking about getting 2 speakers and putting them in if it's not too much trouble.

Oh ok I thought they might be in the trunk or something so the GTS has like 2-in-one speakers? Not sure I quite understand that but thanks for the info!

For anybody that doesn't know, the factory speakers in the 7th gen celicas are decent quality. If you lowpass your sound at say 200HZ, you can drive quite a bit of power through them with a decent head unit or amp.

The stock deck is just plain sad, once you low pass them & put the wattage to them they sound awesome.

I am not an Audio buff so I have no idea how to go about taking an advantage of my setup.

I have a 2000 GTS. I bypassed the stock amp and ran it to the back onto a Fosgate 800 Punch Amp. How do I go about setting it up like how you stated?

the amp should have something called a crossover, look for a setting called high pass filter, switch it and adjust the frequency to around 200hz like mentioned, you should have like some knobs to turn, i dont know that amp so i cant give too many details

Sorry, I meant highpass.

You might have to buy a cross over, most amps don't have a highpass. The sony deck I have has a digital highpass built into the deck.

In short, you are cutting the bass out of the signal & running mid & trebble. Crank it up & those speakers get good and loud. Then you need some subs to carry the bass notes.
