Are you going to keep your CAI?

I am going to buy a shortram and sell the cai.

You'd be smart to shield it & further reduce the possibility of it happening again.

What car r you going to get now. And its good to hear ur isurance is going to take up for it.

Sorry to hear your misfortune. I was getting work done at a shop in NE NJ last Friday. There were torrential downpours at the rate of 3-5 inches an hour. The road in front of the shop for a stretch of 50' had 2-3' of water covering it. Big Commercial trucks wouldn't even go through the one lane of two. I waited for a while until it resided to about 3"-1' in places then went for it. I made it. Then I drove home at 60-80 MPH on RT. 80 through the same torrential downpours and had no problems other than hydroplaining a bit or a lot. This is with a CAI and a dry filter element, not an oiled type which I would rather have had at that time. This isn't my first time in that situation either. I drove 1 other time in rains and back wash like you couldn't believe while minivans and other cars were pulling to the shoulder and parking w/my CAI. No problems. That doesn't include the times with the inches of snow and the slush and ice pounding under my car w/the CAI. You must have just ran out of luck somewhere along the line of life with your car my friend.
