I know you guys hate these but I have to say it. Jackson Racing is making a supercharger for the RSX-S. They needed to see the gains so they dynoed a stock RSX-S and it got 159hp. But a magazine got 179hp. Why would you think there is such a big difference there?

to make their supercharger look like it makes more power. also dyno can come with diff results depending on the fan they used or the type of dyno.

A RSX-S has 200hp to the flywheel. Not 179hp.

No...The factory says that is what it has. That means nothing.

Look at the RX-8 for example. Originally said 245...but later they found out only about 185 to the wheels... HUGE GAP! And, if you drive it hard and then run in and dyno it, it only registers 145 whp... Factory HP ratings are shit.

Mazda had a recal concerning this. They gave I think the first 1000 RX-8 owners a gift certificate for $1000 dollars to use on mazda accesories.

the recal with mazda was because they rated it at 250 to the crank, and it would only dyno at around 240 to the crank... thats why they recalled it...

all cars advertise crank horsepower... eve on ferrari's and porsche's, crank horsepower.

Just like they under-rated the SRT-4...215 to the crank, when it has like 230 to the wheels ive seen...

Never rely on the dealer HP ratings...hehe

well, toyota says that gts has 180 hp, but when dynoed, it's usually always lower (stock). There was one guy I know that dynoed his gts with CAI Intake and exhaust system and only had 170 hp. They like to make you think you have more than what you have.
