so 235 40 17's are the best size tire I'm looking for for my matrix shadow 17 x 8 , should I not bother trying to get 225 40 17's , this will be my last post on this topic. if 235 40 17's are it , than that's what I'll get

40 series sounds kinda small on a 17 inch wheel. I have 40 series on my 18's and it looks sweet, but 40 series on 17 may look funny.

yes but with it in 235/40 it has a nice sidewall

you will rub with 235.
right now i have 17's with 225 and hotchkis lowering springs
and i still rub. But that's maybe because i have 225/45
