Can only I only get 225 40 17's for my 17x 8 inch matrix shadow rims, and will an 8 inch wide rim fit on the 2000 celica without a problem? what about a 225 45 17?or is that not a low profile? here is a pictur of the exact profile and look I want

8 inch wheels will work witha 35 mm offset.

225 40 27 will fit but only one brand makes that size.

you can go with 215 40 17 if they will fit.

but i would go with 235/40/17

and have some wide rubber for handleing

if you wanted the look ab obove and that really low profile look you should have got 18's

NO you can't go with a 215 on an 8" wide wheel!!!!! I tried it at the shop and the sidewall of the tire actually stretches outward to meet the 8 inch wide wheel. Go with 225. I have 225/40/ZR18 and they fit fine. But, I think a 40 series tire will look too small on a 17 rim. ditto 18's

thank you i guess I'll go with a 235 40 17 if that sounds good, I wish I could get an idea of what the sidewall would look like as far as thickness
