My car is feeling slower and slower and I don't know why. I ran it against my friends car which has 19 inch rims and a bodykit, semi-rollcage and a system (weight). He has no Performance mods at all, and he was pulling on me pretty good. I feel like my car has only slowed down since I installed my AEM CAI. I have recently cleaned out the MAFS, and everything else. I have a CEL on right now, but I have not got the code checked. This light came on before I installed my Intake so it's not the Intake causing it. If I reset the CEL it will only come back within a week and only while going up a hill (I will get the code checked tomorrow).

After I unplug my battery, and plug it back in. It takes my car about 15-20 miles before it runs normal again (because of the Intake?). It will run like shit and bog bad, and finally start to run "normal". Is this right? Is it supposed to do this? I don't know what to do. Dont know if it matters, but I just replaced the spark plugs too so they are brand new (about 500+ miles on them.)

Any idea what my problem could be? Any idea what could be causing my CEL? I have had my AEM Intake for about 3 months.

check your fuel injectors, and make sure that you plugged the hose that used to lead to the butterfly valve in your stock air BOx...I heard that could give it hiccups...it sounds like an injector problem tho...

Just another really good FI cleaner is "Valvoline Syn-Power w/synthetic cleaners" you can pick it up at autozone and places like that. By the way, I believe the dealer charges you to read the codes and places like autozone don't charge you. It's worth a try and will save you some $$
