I'm needing to get my hands on the page(s) from the Toyotal service manual detailing the replacement of a Cam Sensor for a 2000 GTS.

I had an oil leak when I bought the car. They repaired it, but when they did they moved the plastic cover over the positive battery terminal. The battery moved (the hold down was loose too - but can't say if they did that or not) when I hit a bump touched the hood. It caused the alternator to fry. As you may know that little sucker ain't cheap. They are claiming it's not their problem. Already filed with the BBB, and they're lying in their response.

Now the reason I want to get the pages from the manual, is quite often the first thing they say is to removed the battery terminal. In their response to the BBB, they claim not to have touched the battery. Which is already bs, as with having to check the oil every other day, I know for a fact that the cover was on there when I dtopped it off. If the manual says they should remove it, then either 1) they are lying or 2) they don't do what they are supposed to when servicing the car.

They also lied trying to say I drove it for days (it was back in their shop the very same day it came out and can prove it - less than 1/2 hour of driving on it), and that I replaced the battery. The battery is the same one they had in their when they sold it.

After I talked with Toyota, they offered a discount off the $531 to change the alternator, plus more if I needed wiring. But they wouldn't say how much of a discount. Apparently I was just supposed to trust them.

I've now filed a complaint with the Louisiana State AG's office. If anyone wants the name of a New Orleans (Metairie) Toyota dealer to stay away from let me know. I've already posted it on riproffreport.com...

To have played and laughed with enthusiasm
and sung with exultation
To know even one life has breathed easier
This is to have succeeded.
