i have 2 woofers and an amp..i believe its the strongest explode amp there is..and two 12 inch explodes..well the guy who installed it did the two positive in one side where on woofer goes and the negatives on the other woofer side..apparently that makes the woofer louder..now everytime there is liike 5 minutes into use the woofers turn off at times..what can this be..i feel as if there isnt enough power going to the woofers?? i have a 2.0 capacitor what can i do?? i havent had a chance to hear the explodes full potential hey people are they really that weak or can they be loud?? thanx and what can i do about the problem..?

well the installer is smart and dumb at the same time, the thing he did with the wiring is called bridging and it gives you more power by merging the two channels into one giving you about twice the power but Xplod amps are already bridge in the newer models, so he shouldnt do that because its causing more resistance because two wires are tryin to drain juice frome pipeline now which in turn makes your subs weaker. The amp turning off is probably the safety feature it has from overheating or shorts. check to make sure its gettin open air too cool off. Xplods are not the best but me and my cousin made these pretty loud except they lack potential on the low end frequencies.

where did he mount the woofer? it sounds like it could be overheating.
but as for the loudness thing, you may want to go through your deck and tweak the subwoofer settings to your liking. i know some installers don't set the bass very high when they do the install.

^^ i cant really say because i dont know which model xplod subs and amps. cause there is the regular version (they are weak and cheap), the P5 (pentagon) (pretty good and look nice), and then the Aluminum Version (Really nice, actually competes with other brands..) find a pic on the internet of the amp and subs and ill help you more im switchin my system to a different company cause Sony is okay but not enough on car applications, Sony is best for Home Audio
