Hi...
I am a new member but i have visited this site many times... So i installed CAI last week ,which i got the from Ebay and everything seems to be working fine! No CEL!!!! The only thing that worries me a bit is the the noise coming out from the air filter! It sounds ok(pretty nice actually) but too lound when the engine is running and when i turn it off! Like a real powerfull vacuum that sucks all the air around it! Is that because of the placement it has or something is wrong with it, 'cuz it is louder than any other car i've seen! This whole thing is without me pushing the gas peda l... Thanks!!!!!!! new .

My short ram Intake sounds hella loud just at idle...so I can pretty much guarantee a CAI is going to be even louder. I don't think that's abnormal at all. Also when you shut your car off there will be a brief "sucking" sound...that's normal too. I, personally, wouldn't advocate purchasing ANY kind of no-name Intake off eBay but if you're running with no CEL you should be fine. If you don't like the noise, you might want to look into an injen short ram or other Intake.
