ok so i just installed new brakes rotors and shoes now what to i do before being able to drive... like do i need to bleed the brakes if so how do i do that? i have never changed brakes before so i don't know the whole process... thanks and it would be helpful it replys started flying in here cause i need to be some where later tonight and i am not puttin everything back together till i read something or untill my friend comes thru for me but i have better luck with all my wonderful ec.com crew!

no clue but if you can always call auto parts store and they'll tell ya..good luck

Yes, it's always a good idea to bleeed the brakes, it will give you a firm brake pedal, and will flush out the old fluid in the caliper. If you look on the back side of the caliper, you will see a bleed valve. It has a black rubber cover on it. Pop the cover off. You r gonna need a friend to help you bleed them also. Have someone sit in your drivers seat. When you tell them to...you open the bleed nut and have them press the pedal to the floor, fluid is going to come out so have a small container ready to catch it. But before they let the pedal back up, close the nut!!!!!!!! Repeat at least twice or until your friend says the pedal feels firm and not squishy. Then do the same on all the others. Have a bottle of brake fluid handy to add to the master cylinder under the hood, you will need to add some if you bleed all 4 brakes. The bottom line is make sure you don't get ANY AIR into the brake system. If you do, you are gonna be bleeding the brakes a ton to get all the air out. Good luck!!
