Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior Question on lowering

I'm sorry if this has been posted before, but I'm going to ask anyways...I want to lower my celica. I have a 00 GT auto with 17's. Now, I don't want to drive all wierd and there are dips and bumps by my house, so I can't lower it too much. Also, the guys at the place where I got my tires alligned, balanced, etc... said that if you lower the car too much, they can't put it on the lift and raise it up to work on it. I also don't want that, so how much would you guys recommend I lower it.

Also, what is the difference between springs and coilovers? Do you guys recommend one or the other? What brand of either do you guys recommend?? Will both be alright if I put them on with stock shocks?

get the trd springs they drop something like 1.2 inches. and im pretty sure coilovers are the springs that are adjustable and the stock shocks will be fine

u can adjust coilovers to your desired height. And why can't he put your car on a lift????

If your really worried just go with the TRD springs ... they drop about 1 inch and still look good plus it's TRD so no warrenty voiding

I'm not concerned about waranty because mine's already up...but I would like to know how everyone feels about the TRD springs?? are they good quality?? is the ride better, worse or the same, and by how much has it improved or worsened??
