i got that too. I didnt feel any difference. Lights still dim and didnt idle any different but its worth a try. Ive never heard of engine bogging down after you remove them. He must have removed his stock ground points or something.

teamcelica has an install guide for the kit sold on their site. I believe it is for a GT. Well i used it for my GT they is no difference for the ground wire install anyway.

You're definitely in the minority. In fact, pretty much the only person I've heard say it so far. I'm assuming you checked your install points?

Not every notices a difference when the kit is installed but it also depends on the mods you have done. Someone w/ a big stereo will probably notice it more than someone w/ a stock stereo. The mounting points are the same for GT/GTS and manual/automatic.

I think the guy from Team Celica would take money orders, go to their website and email them

the subject 'bout bogging down has come up more than once concerning the removal of grounding wires...

if you installed new grounding wires to replace the factory stock ones, why would your remove them in the first place? you cannot transfer it to another car...

i got mine from teamcelica.com, after i went by the local stereo place and the guy suggested that he could have done a better job using his own spool of wires and his own deemed "better" connectors.

any competent stereo store that does installation of course would automatically re-ground your car for a high output system.

I made my own, but for $30 bucks shipped you can't beat that price. It'll cost ya that much in materials and effort to make your own.

Got mine from happies, referenced on this site, I have had them on and off and now back on..I noticed no ill effects from this, I am grounded in 7 spots and had to dremmel the inner diameter for two ground connectors on the passenger side (left) cylinder head...other than that the install was easy and reversal even easier. I noticed a drop in RPM at idle (~50 RPM) and definite reduction in dimming when I roll both windows up..big difference in dimming. I am curious why some would remove the stock wires...I thought this kit was a supplement to the main system and basic electroincs says voltage likes the path of least resistance...so it wouldn't matter if the stocks wires were tere. just thought I'd chime in grin

^^ i thought the same thing about removing the stock ground wires, i am guessin doesnt it provide more passage for the negative current.. but i took it out anyway cause its ugly i would of left it in if i had like a super sound system with like 7 amps grin grin

You hardly even see the wires, color wouldn't make much of a difference.

I have no problems accepting money orders, PM or email me for details.

I am currently out of supplies but am expecting a shipment today. I had one come in last week but they sent me purple wire instead of the black.

Black wire is used because it is the universal color for a ground. I could probably put together something in a different color but it would be a special type deal and would cost more. It also helps to keep the price down by only using one color because I do not have to stock more colors and have a ton of inventory. I order this stuff in 100' spools.

I do not forsee running a group purchase because it would drop the price by $2 at most as I do not make very much on these.
