both will work just mech are a pita to get in not to mention for safty reasons a lot of them can't even be mounted in the car the have to be out side

just imaging the gauge failing and spraying 220 degree oil in your face

^yeah mechanical gauge failure is a lot more dangerous for sure. I wouldn't want that shit mounted in front of my face that's for sure.
