Hey guys, I'm a total n00b when it comes to susspension so I've got a few questions. I want to lower my car using coilovers, that way I can adjust them. Will I need to buy new struts also? What kind of setup should I look at buying... I don't really know what brands I have as an option. Also, where should I get this stuff from? So pretty much, I need to know which coilovers to buy (brand and model), and what struts to buy. Anything else I will need?
BTW, my car is a 1990 ST.
Thanx a ton for any advice guys!

I have not lowered my car yet but am planning on doing it this summer. I was waiting for the TIENs to come out but i think they gave up on it. Anyway, when you get a full coilover kit that comes with springs and struts. You will need a new camber kit probably, and then have the car realigned. I dont really know brands though. You can get suspension parts for a gt coupe(st184) from your year. Let me know if you need any other information.

Actually, you can use anything from a 5th gen FWD celica, as well as some from other generations. They recommend to replace your struts while you have them accessable, which is a good idea. If I were you, I'd get ground control, and just get some KYB shocks, that'll get ya good. You won't need a camber kit, it's bs.

Ground Control coilover is awesome!! thumbsup
You don't have to replace your struts, but it is recommended. KYBs are really good. Just keep in mind the when you drop it the ride gets a little bumpier.
