I've heard that the Borla and TRD exhausts are one and the same since the TRD is purportedly made by Borla - idunno

- I'd go with TRD regardless... awesome gains and not ricey loud

yeah
i would go with borla, since not everybody has it.
And everybody has TRD, just like honda.
And borla is way cheaper than TRD. And borla makes quality exhausts.
i had TRD, but i wanted something little more louder and deeper and i decided to go with Apexi N1.

I know I have posted several times on this topic, I have had the borla for over 2 years now, if you are looking for good sound...don't get it. It doesn't sound any different than stock. Unless you are running a straight pipe to it. I think the sound is less b/c it doesn't have a collector (coffee can) near the tip. It's just the muffler. My .02

i'd go with the TRD, it has the best gains and isn't excessively loud.
