Actually, you see very little of the grounding kit once it's installed properly. It's the best $30 you can spend for a mod. If you have *anything* aftermarket, it will make a difference.

Toyota uses a very small wire to ground your battery. This doesn't allow for the proper flow of electricity if you have aftermarket modifications, such as a stereo, neons, cai, etc, etc... The grounding kit picks out certain places (alternator for example) to attach to and uses a larger wire (the guys at teamcelica.com use 4 gauge wire) to allow the extra electricity to flow more freely and enhances over all Performance.

the optima i got for 144.95, can't remeber the name of the place off hand, but it got here in a week and shipping was free. the grounding kit was easy to install for the most part. it is a little bit of a pain in the ass, but what isn't.

Sultan ~ I got the Terminals in today, a week from the day i ordered them, and i never heard a word from them. installing them is a pain in the ass if you have anything else attached to the battery other than the (like an amp) because it only has the two connections, and there are two power wires for the celica itself. not sure how to get around it yet, but the terminals sure do look nice. the neg terminal was easy to install, i will post pics when both are in.

I've heard sometimes after learning the grounding kit the factory ECU ends up lessening its effectiveness.

How can an ECU overide a grounding kit? It gets grounded anyway and the ecu has no control over the flow of electricity to external applications such as neons, amps, etc. Unless I'm wrong. grin

get the yellow top if you plan on putting a system in - that's it's primary beneficial use

cuz the ground kit suppose to give you better start up and idling along with better light output and clearer sound from ur stereo..well guess what?? the only thing u'll get out of it is better sound and ground for your car, the car don't start better after the first few time of using..it suppose to suppress the dimming affect at night with you roll up ur windows but that don't seem to be the case..only help just a tiny bit, enuf for you to notice a small diff..as for as idling it's been the same b4 and after i install the kit..
