I have these blue BLUE bataman lights that i'd like to install. but i dunno how. i have never had any experience any with wiring what so ever.

heres what it does... Its suppose to activate when ur alarm is activted. theres a lil black button on there that you can press that'll change the pattern of the blinking leds.

There are 3 wires black, red and yellow. I kno the black gets grounded and red goes to a constant, but where does the yellow go?

can i splice the factory led and connect it there?

can anyone help?

Red = Switched power (vehicle ignition wire)
Yellow = Constant (power Vehicle constant power)
Black = Ground

You can tag all these wires at the stering column wires, except the ground.

okay the black is ground mos def.. but now a days Red and Yellow are mixed with Switch and Constant. I would look for info on this led scanner if not..

Either the red or yellow is suppose to be tapped into the alarm's lights output like the factory LED (your right) so it can activate when alarm goes off.

So connect either the red or yellow one first to a constant power source and if it turns on but doesnt do the scan thing than thats your constant and the other wire should not work unless the constant one is powered.

thumbsup PM me if this sounds confusing

sounds very confusing...
the box of this scanner says that the yellow should be attached to alarm's output or ground. and red goes to a constant.

How will i know which one is the factory alarm output?

If you have a viper alarm the wire is orange coming from the alarm brain.

so it's saying attach it to either a ground or power source??? I'd say put down that backwards manual. lol

scan the page of the manual cause maybe you are reading it wrong.

typically like mentioned in the first post, yellow is constant. but ya never know. they gave good advice. I suggest trying it out.

===========================

to fiond the output wire just look for the little blinking LED. The wire connecte to that is the one you need grin

good luck

ok...I'm sorry...but I try to stay away from the alarm cause I think its too touchy (just my .02)...I'd rather just wire it to a switch off the cigarette lighter, and get a self tapping screw with a ring terminal on the end of the ground wire and put it under the carpet (that's how I grounded my footwell neons anyway)...if it wporks go for it... thumbsup
