If the kit is unpainted at the moment, please, PLEASE do not put it on unpainted. I know it's the coolest feeling having a new kit and wanting to show it off, but there is NOTHING worse than a car with an unpainted kit IMHO. I laugh at rice every time I see one. I had my kit since november, unpainted until May, but I waited and waited since I didn't want to be one of "those" guys.
Don't be one of "those" guys, no matter how hard it is to resist.

it's not bad for the kit to be in rain per se, but please tell me you'll be getting it painted shortly thereafter...

NO You should test fit it but, please don't leave it on you rcar unpainted and drive around with it on. Test fit it and then put your original back on.
To test fit you do not need to remove the headlights or the tails.
I'm gonna take your little Civic. Dust it off. Turn it sideways and stick it straight up you candy A*s.

You might have to remove the stock fog lights to get it to fit right.
