I'm getting a Carbon Fiber hood soon and I don't like to put hood pins in at all..they look kinda strange IMO. who is driving around w/o them too? is it safe? because even my stock hood shakes going 90+ mph.

Hood pins are for little bitches! Who's afraid of a little hood flying off ur car at 90mph...little bitches that's who. Maybe you'll just turn around and drive home J/k! Hoodpins are probly a wise investment for any aftermarket hood. Jee whiz, ur stock hood shakes at 90mph? See that trooper on the side of the road? Maybe you should pull over and ask him what a good solution would be.

you don't have to, unless you want your hood slam against your windshield...it's there for your safety.

I had Carbon Fiber hood for a while now... It's from VIS A grade.. it's not the best one but for prices I paid for it was good enough...
I've driven many times from 100-140mph on free way... Regular driving around 90-100 in 4 hour driver and here and there excess of 130mph... I think I had this hood for about a year now...
And.. yes.. at free way speed.. my hood moves up and down a little... kind of hovering... but doesn't seem to be any problem... The latch area is tight.. just the windshield area hood moves up and down...

i say yeah, since you have a carbon fiber hood, you do not have to worry about rust. and the hood is still latched in the factory spot.
