Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior My stereo install in a 00' Celica GT

Well, the trunk is finished, I need to do all the setting up as far as crossover and gain settings, but i need some help with that... The sub box is small, running at just about 1 cube, Do i add polyfill to make it act as if it were a slightly larger box? How does poly fill work. Right now the bass is a little overpowering i feel, and thats with the gain seeting at almost nothing. The pink you see around the edges, is egg crate foam from wallmart, it works great to keep everything sitting in there nice and even, and keeps it from rubbing aginst the plastic sides and squeeking. Everything back there is removable so that i can still get out the spare tire if needed. The wiring is a little bit of a mess, but i dont know how to neaten it up much without making it impossible to get the spare tire out.

Look here, fold back a small flap of carpet to expose the digital voltage meter. The meter is switched on and off via the small black switch seen in the top right picture above.

I like. May concider running a pair of like Computer fans into the amp enclosure. keep some air on them so they dont overheat.

Comp Fans = 12v

as for the box space, what size is your sub? check with the manual that came w/your sub and see what size of box they recommend...

Both amps have run pretty cool so far, the cadence is only running at half its potential power, which keeps it cool. The JL seems to run fairly cool in general. I have a comp fan sitting in the trunk there(you may be able to see it) which i will install if i need it. Thats a elemental designs 12a 12" I know the recc box sizes, and built their box for micro bass, but was just curious if polyfill was a way to improve SQ. Any bass adict would love the way it sounds right now.
