1/4 the weight. Some people have actually reported feeling the HP you free up by putting one on.

i heard that carbon fiber hood is the lightest and stongest. some one here had that vid where they were running it over with a car and jumping on it too and it was fine. also i heard Fiberglass was light but the paint cracks and fades easily.
remember hood pins too!

I HAVE A Carbon Fiber INVADER HOOD... IT IS THE BADEST LOOKING HOOD THAT YOU CAN GET FOR THE CAR... I CAN FEEL THE HP WHEN I PUT IT ON... AFTER I TOOK IT OUT OF THE BIG... I COULD HOLD IT OUT INFRONT OF ME WITH MY ARMS LOCKED OUT...THAT IS LIGHT

Some people say they actually feel it, maybe because they just think that if they look faster, then they accelerate faster. rofl rofl

50 x .25 if what grassroots said was true. that would come out to 12.5

nah, I think I remember around 50 for the stock as well... also, the new veilside hood is 8 lbs and it's not carbon fiber so 5-10 lbs sounds right

yeah, 5-10lbs for a c/f is in the ballpark, but 50lbs for stock? that's sounds too damn heavy...

it does sound heavy but I though I heard that somewhere before... regardless, the carbon fiber hood will shed a lot of weight - worthwhile mod from both appearance and Performance standpoints, especially if you combine it with a carbon fiber hatch
