i just scheduled an appoinment with toyota dealership for service.i have several problems with my car right now.the main problem is my engine knocking.they told me that they can find out if ive been abusing my car which i have been .how do they find out that ive been running my car n also if they do i find out, will they b a b***h n not fix my car?what can i do to make sure that they'll fix my car?

Aside from obvious mechanical damage, maybe the ecu stores engine run data?

unplug your battery overnight and it will wipe the memory from the ECU.

so just unplug the battery over night?but will my car feel wierd the next day when i plug it back on?which one do i unplug plus or minus?

The minus (negative) terminal.
When you reconnect the negative terminal the next morning start your car and let it idle for 15 min without touching the gas pedal. This will give will give the ecu a chance to reset itself.

our car's ECU keep track of what we do to our car. What RPM's were going, how fast were going, & how far did you travel. I dunno about leaving the battery unplugged overnight, there has to be a back system so that the entire data doesn't get deleted.

As fas as I know that resets the memory as well.
But how bad were you abusing your car?

which one do i unplug plus or minus? dude, i'm so glad you asked that question. you've to know this! and read your owner's manual one of these days to get familiar with your own car...

But how bad were you abusing your car? ive been running my car everytime i get in it.redlined it like couple of times.i just cant help it.hitting lift is best feeling in da world.
