that will work, or just a soft cloth and some patience will remove any excess adhesive

goo gone is pretty good stuff but i don't recommend it because i use that to remove my emblem and i got paint chip..

the best way to do it, is to slowly pull the emblem out without heating it or spraying anything on to the bakc of it..after you pull it off you will have the glue stuff still on it..try to pell as much away as you can and get some duck tape (the grey color kind) and put on top of the extra glue and pull out keep doing that until no more glue is left..best way to remove any extra glue..it's like the hair remover method using wax that women use..apply and pull.. grin thumbsup

warm water, a soft cloth, and a lot of rubbing will remove the glue.

don't rub you will smear the glue all around, it'll be harder to clean..just use tape, you have to use adhesive on adhesive..glue will remove glue..apply and pull, apply and pull..repeat and repeat..that way it'll be clean..totally..trust me on this..i've done this many time..on other thing ofcourse..

What year is the car? On my 2k (3 weeks ago) There is no way trape would have taken it off. it was old and crusted on there, only way to get off was the Tar remover and a lot of Scrubbing with the ... textured.. part of a sock.

Why you got paint chip? Did you use too much? Or Goo Gone is not for cars?
