What things do you need to paint a car?
like what kind of paint,and the sprayer and all of that?

you can get paint from napa, talk to them they'll tell you everything you need

sanding tools, wet sanding tools, primer, and tons of it, flash tape, a paint booth, degreaser, a sprayer and compressor, a paint shooter, and a whole ton of time...PM carbon_BLUE_GT...he's the resident paint expert here

If you intend to do a good job... the tools will probably cost you more than getting it done professionally.

At minimum you need a dust-proof booth/room, sprayer, compressor, sanding (wet and dry) tools, primer paint and clearcoat.

Even with all that, I bet most people's first try turns out worse than the $299 Maaco job.
