Ok if this is already in here I'm sorry, but I had a few questions before I get intake. AEM or Injen? big difference or just brand preference? Short ram or CAI? I know that the CAI is better performance but a some people here that had CAI on their Hondas and such sucked up water with and killed their engines. I would like to order intake soon because I want better performance and I am shipping some custom parts (shift knob, gauge bezel) off to be Anadized to the color that I have in my interior and would like to send the intake tube with it..since you can't buy green[/color] intakes

Injen - better high end gains AEM - better low end gains
The way too look at this is if you're accelerating/racing you're going to be mostly in the high end RPMs on your car. Some people like the feel of the extra pull though. I have not heard the AEM in take, but I'm very happy with the sound of my Injen CAI.
CAI's will give an extra couple horses over a shot ram, mostly because you aren't soaking up engine heat. It is possible to get water into your engine (called hydrolock), but you'd have to have your CAI completely submerged for the most part. Also, if you are worried about this happening, they do have a heat sheild/splash guard available.

What's the difference between regular Injen CAI and the Injen race division intake?? "Injen Short Ram Intake"... this is basicaly a SHORT RAM Intake (not CAI) - aka "AIR RAM INTAKE" "Injen Race Division Cold Air Intake"... ths one is a COLD AIR INTAKE - aka, CAI

I have the Injen shortam and noticed a difference, but none I could compare with a Injen RD CAI. I wanted the short ram for looks under the hood and didn't want to go through hassle of cutting the wheel well to have the RD CAI's pipe go through for the filter and the fear of water cause sometimes there is a lot of rain in NJ and crappy roads. So, you decide from there. Both give noticeable gains in hp and power.
