Hi,

I just got myself a 2001 GTS.

I was never never one to 'pimp my ride', but these celicas are so pretty I'm tempted to do a few things to make it look even sharper.

I really like the look of those hood stripes on some cars I see on bluebatmobile. Picturing it in my head, however, I can't imagine what
color would look good with black. All the realy nice ones are light Celicas with dark highlites. Picturing a white or silver stripe down a black
car is too loud, I want subtle. Think a dark metalic blue would look good?

I really like the look of this pinstripe:

http://www.vinzdecals.com/sidestripe-0593.html

I'd like one the same color as the hood stripe. Think it would look too ricey?

Some other things that tempt me are a TRD spoiler, and one of those fancy hood scoops. Would you paint the scoop black, or have
it the same color as the stripes?

Typically how much does it cost to get parts like spoilers or scoops professionally painted?

Thanks!

nice ride. it should cost around $100 or so to get hoodscoops painted, and 100-200 for a spoiler for a good quiality paint job.

I live in NYC. The only quiet, scenic, clean, tree filled and devoid of (live) people area I can go to for pictures IS a cemetary.

It's an automatic. I didn't want a stick here.

Now does anyone have pics of a black car with some side or hood stripes? I'm having a hard time deciding what color will work well.

What other (reasonably inexpensive) things can be done to make it look sharper, yet still classy?

try a silver or even a red stripe-find a color scheme with black that you like and go with it on everything so it doesn't look riced out. thumbsup
