Noobish Question

ok, so i have a GTS, and have known that lift kicks in at 6200 rpms or thereabouts, but have never stopped to think about the vvti, but i heard a guy with a gt say that vvti kicks in at like 4k, is that true? i went and drove my car and noticed that at about 4k it does seem to start pulling harder, but i guess i always thought it was something to do with my Intake or something confused

for us gt owners. there is just a better gain at 4k rpm. it has nothing to do with any type of lift or anything. thats just the way the engine was designed. it helps preserve gas if you shift under that religiously.

The GT doesn't have any kind of lift.
