I have the Tein SS for about a year and a 1/2 and every time I drive over small bumps I hear a knocking noise, like something is loose, in the two front struts or spring. Do any of you guys have this problem or know what it is? If so, what is it and how do I fix it? Thanks

lol its your bushings their worn out.
I had the same problem that kncoking
noise gets so annyoing you can get them at ur
toyota dealer the parts section. I think i paid
40 bucks for them both sides and make sure you
get both bushing theirs two for one side so 4
in total. All it is, is a rubber circle that
goes around the top off your strut/shock your
going to have to remove the whole strut/shock
to do this tho. Which is a pain thumbsup
Pm me if you haven any other questions

It could be probably two things that I can think of. 1 is the nut on top of your dampers is lose. Try tightening it with a torque wrench or if that doesn't work an impact wrench carefully. I know it's a no-no. 2 it could be the endlinks that came with the Teins. They could be worn out. Try this test. Jack your car up on both sides and secure with jack stands or bring your car somewhere with a lift. Have someone push up on your front tires while you listen at the top of the struts to hear if something sounds lose. That's that top nut on the damper. Next, push the wheel inwards and shake it around. If you hear any clunking sounds it could be the endlinks. It took me and a mechanic 5 minutes to figure out these problems by doing this, which Toyota had no answers for and said everything is fine. The worst case scenario is that your front dampers are in bad shape. You would know if turn your wheel and hitting bumps the noise was a real bad clanging or knocking metal on metal kind of sound. I had similar problems to you. 1 was that top bolt/nut, 2 my endlinks were bad, and 3 I ruined my front dampers previously.

Well the knocking sound is not loud it's just enough to get annoying. I can only hear it when I run over a small bumps or a crack on the street. Big bumps, it sounds normal. It could be my struts or bushings but don't really want to go to all that trouble on fixing it. I'm lazy.

i've been told the bad welds on the celi cause squeaks, especially on a firm suspension.

The only thing off hand is a bushing somewhere. I'm sure you lubed up everything. The thing I've noticed with bushings even if they have a nipple/fitting to hook a grease gun up to, you need to loosen the bushing from it's hardware until grease oozes out. If there isn't a nipple you have to take it apart if applicable and grease it that way. Maybe one somewhere is worn. I don't know I'm just rambling.

I guess I'll just replace or grease up the bushings. Any one know the part number?
