As most of you know, I drive a Silver GTS with a Kaminari kit with WW Sides, all are soon to be installed. I also have a WW spoiler, TYC Black tails, and some small accents all in black and Carbon Fiber. I think a Carbon Fiber hood would look good, especially since gun metal or black rims are next on my mod list. Unfortunatly, the rims are on hold because I crashed the Celica recently and need to pay for the damage. The hood is going to need to be replaced and I figure while I'm at it, I mine as well go aftermarket with it. Of all the hoods, Invader definitly looks the best, but I hear fitment is kinda crappy. To my understanding, the best fitting hoods are Fiber Images. So my questions for you guys are:
1. For all of you guys with the Invader hood, how would you say fitment is for it?
2. Would you say it is worth the money?
3. Is it possible to drive in the rain with it?
4. Where is the cheapest place to order this from? I need it ASAP so I can't really wait on a GB... Unless its ending in the next week or two.

Invader is 50/50 if the hood fits perfect. the main problem with them is that they have a small gap on the passenger side. if you want an "invader" hood, i would go with Seibon 'cuz i've heard good things about them...they fit like OEM & they don't have the passenger side gap.

I didn't think Seibon makes Invader, or anything outside of OEM Style. But either way, I hear they make GREAT hoods.

only diff between seibon and VIS
is that seibon dosent come w. a
raised hoodscoop. U can get the seibon
hood at www.mvpmotorsports.com [mvpmotorsports.com]

As for the VIS hood the only gap you will recieve
is on the passenger side and its not noticable
its prob about less than half an inch. I like the
hood a lot and you can drive in the rain but if its
going to be a dailydrive i would recommend for under
the hood covering the reverse scoop with a plastic.
The cheapest price i found was at ebay it was 357
and 150 for shipping came out to 507 total and the
user was Carbon Innvoation they sell about 2 hoods
per week for our cars. Shipping took about
5-7 days. thumbsup

all you have to do is to adjust the mounting bolts and you can get the gap to even out on both sides. that is what i had to do. now the gap isn't that noticeable.

I will probably just do Seibon. You get what you pay for, and when it comes to my car, I'm always willing to spend the extra bills to get it done right.
So... with my setup, do you think OEM or Invader will flow better? In other words... do you think Invader is too aggresive for my Kaminari Front/Rear and WW Sides/Wing?

with the Kam front - yes it would look too aggressive, IMO.

the Kam front is a smooth flowing design.

remember my comments are just my opinions, dont flame on me grin

I agree with Billy - for the Kam kit, go with the oem Carbon Fiber hood...
