Ok so I was thinking about the TRD springs (NO COIL OVER SUGGESTIONS PLEASE as I do not like a bouncy rides and that kinda of money is just out of the question) but the TRD springs don't provide enough of a rear drop for me... I like how the eibach sport lines drop it 2+ inches in the back as opposed to the front which is only lowered 1.8 or something.

The celica (IMO) rides too high in the back so i would like springs that would drop the back more than the front. The problem i have with the eibach is that it's TOO much of a drop. The car would scrape because around where I live there is a lotta dips and the roads are kinda bad. My IDEAL drop would probably be something like 1.5'' in the front and 1.9'' in the back. If anyone has any helpful info on this that would be great. Thanx guys! I really enjoy reading this forum. Also, to isaac (and all the other mods) GREAT JOB ON THE WEBSITE GUYS! i've been followin your work for a while now...

I recommend Hotchkis for you. Its 1 3/8 in the front and 1 7/8 in the rear. The perfect drop in my opinion.

I agree. Since I am not getting a body kit, I may go for a slammed type aggressive look. Sportlines are the ones for that.

Brad, are you getting shocks at the same time?

Steven, did you have to get shocks or are you still riding on the stock ones? If so, how are they holding out?

Sigh this has got to be a major debate for me. I have a buddy club kit which happens to have a very low front bumper. In fact I'd say my bumper is already as low as that dropped pic above which makes me nervous about adding in new springs.

Anybody here have a buddy club kit or one similiar and still get along ok with new springs?

Hey, what I recommend doing is going out to your car and measure. Measure the front bumper from the ground and the wheel well gaps. That will tell you how much of a drop you want.

Thanks! One more thing, as someone mentioned, they have a kit... I was wondering if I later on got a wings west kit, would the hotchkis springs drop the car tooo low? I wouldn't want it dropped as low as the sportlines... someone please get a measurement for me, as i am very lazy and have to go to work right now thumbsup

Thanks guys, seriously you guys are so helpful goodjob

i have had sportlines for almost two years.. my shocks are holding up. Little rough on certain roads, but overall, it is very good.

The Wings West kit isn't really that much lower than stock (if at all), I wouldn't worry about dropping too low with that kit in all honesty,

i JUST realized that the picture posted above has the TRD kit, and if i'm not mistaken the TRD lip and the wings west is very alike and probably same measurement? (someone correct me if i'm wrong grin) so judgin from the picture i'd say that's about the perfect drop for me thumbsup

I think I'll go with the hotchkis coil springs! thumbsup Thanks everyone who has contributed... i'm expecting my celica sometime in august... GOSH just 2 more months frown I CANT WAIT! spineyes

Oh and btw, can you post a picture of the rear? Thanks much! cheers

Yah from what I know Wings West isn't very low. Only reason I brought up my kit is because it's one of lower kits out there, if not the lowest. Tomorrow going to do some measurements getting to the point to where I'm not sure what else to mod on my car. Can't particluarly afford a turbo so I'm left with springs really at the moment. Rims will go in this winter when I have to get new tires anyway. Groundwire kit going in next.

Does the ground wire kit really show any visible results on the dyno? I've heard that it improves hp, stereo quality, and some other things..? Can some one tell me what else it does? and if it really works? any companies? heh.. sorry for goin off tangent from the subject, even thought i started the thread grin
