hey guys...my summer job is finally coming around and i will have some $$ for new mods...first is def 17" rims... but after that i want the TRD exhaust...i dont think i'll have enough to blow on a kit this summer so i'm wondering which kind of the TRD exhaust i should buy (standard or extended)? if i got the extended planning for my future body kit would it look dumb on a stock bumper? how much would it stick out?

also the cheapest i have found the TRD exhaust is for around $490...does anyone know a place i could get it cheaper or is that a good price?

It will not look dumb with the extended exhaust on a stock bumper. Here is a pic.

The reason for the extended exhaust is to keep the tip from hitting/blowing heat and fumes on rear bumper. With the standard exhaust, you may cause damage to the aftermarket bodykit.

i had a regular TRD exhaust with the kaminari bumper before i got my custom duals and it doesn't look bad, its just not out as far as you would like it to be, if you get the regular, you could always just get it extended by anybody with a tig welder when you get a kit

Not to sound ignorant or anything (welll I am but that's different wink ) but does having someone extend the TRD exahust hurt performance any?

No. As long as they use the same size piping and weld it well. All they are extending is basically the pipe that comes out of the muffler right before the tip.
