Id say the engine ( shouldve come with a 2.0 Turbo or summtin ) and the interior.. not the seats but the color of the dash and stuff.. that gray looks horrible (shouldve been black or some combination with the exterior paint )

other than that I just LOVE my celi grin

I would say the interior color on the earlier versions. Black seems to go with every color of the celica.

I also do not like how the headlights (with factory HIDs) stick up so much.

Only other complaint I have is I think the front end should extend a tad more from the wheel..

Underpowered and overpriced, obviously I bought the car for more than it's engine but I would have preffered the car to have at least 200hp or an ideal 240hp and with the same weight and for the price I paid, then I'd be a lot happier.

The torque would fall under the same catagory but if some how the GTS was a even 180hp and 180 torque and it was really noticable to both high and low rpm then I'd be fully content with the car.

Obviously I like the car a lot and the Performance is still pretty decent and it's a nice looking vehicle. Even rear visiblity and shoulder checking isn't as bad as it's made out to be, you just have to adjust a tiny tiny bit.

I hate how my left knee always hits the mirror thingie. I hate how my driver side floor mat always creeps up, I hate how the signal light doesn't always turn off (if you only make a small turn like a lane change) Other than that I love it.

in the early gens the harder shift to second, lift bolts should last longer too. i dont mind my interior on my 00 whats the later version look like? i wish my pass window had an auto down too and both had auto up, the belt thingy too. the engine is fine for me quicker would be nicer but not a need.

Yeah also, I know this is weak but I live in Texas and it gets very hot especially with leather, I wish the a/c was colder and more powerful.
turbo would be very nice too...

Toyota didn't develop a factory Turbo for the 7th Gen Celica motor because the motor can't support it. Companies go with reliability over Performance. They want an engine to last.

High compression motors like in the 7th Gen Celicas can't support high boost, and even low boost will lower the engines life dramatically.

Then again, YOU can take your ride and build the bottom end to make it support boost applications. This usually costs a lot of money... if you want your motor to last wink.

That is the main thing, also for the earlier models the mutli-colored leds, with the gauges in orange and the stereo and AC contorls in green.

Yeah, I wish the LED's matched the car better. I would love to have red lights in my car.

Everyone's gonna bitch about the engine not having enough power...who is ever satisfied? Yes, it does need more power. Too bad the engine is N/A. Too bad it isn't RWD or AWD.

The worst...too goddam bad it's the last generation too.

shouldve came with Turbo 2.0 for GT then Turbo with lift 2.0 for GTS.

rear disk brakes for GT.

ugly lighting in the electronic interior.

small engine bay.

00 - 02 ugly interior color.

the spring under the passenger seat comes off and no longer will the seat stay in place if its pushed forward.

IMO the back end looks too short to the rear wheels and would look better IMO if it stuck out a lot more and had more body from the rear window to the end of the body!! At least bout 4 inches more! The rear end cuts off too short, but the front end is alright!! I cant bitch about the engine, because i knew what i was getting into when i paid for it!!

the carpet creep is a REAL PITA.

Lift bolts is #1 engine concern, I think the engine is great other than that. More power would be nice, but I love 8300rpm tasty

The grey interior is stupid, I hope to get that fixed one day thumbsup

Yeah the leaky side mirrors..you think you got all the water out but it comes out when you start driving. Disc brakes should be standard for all models. Raise or lower the height of the stock spoiler.

The emblems are just plastic, so just sand off the gold and paint it chrome/silver. Its a lot cheaper than buying from toyota if you ever thought of doing so.

everything under the hood, when in lift im fine with power, but before i get there its just plain weak, definately doesnt feel like 180hp. dont like how im constantly getting stuck on the reverse gate when trying to slam it into 2nd. during the winter when i make a left turn and my hand is on the shifter i can feel cold air?!?! I dont like that the rear camber kit costs more than the springs and front camber kit combined. i dont like that the toyota emblem in the steering wheel is paint, half is scratched off, and i absolutely hate all the damn noises that come out of my engine compartment. these noises alone make me want to get rid of the car. speaking of which what kind of noise does the belt tensioner make, maybe thats one of my problems smile

Thats because before lift, your not getting 180hp. Your getting around the same hp as a GT. Lift is what boosts it to 180hp to the crank (160 WHP or so).

stock height is too high

either:
to be less than 500-600lbs or
30-40 more hp or
low/mid range tourque or

too much noise problems from belt tensioner and valves

lift bolts (GTS)

power curve needs to be smoothed out...or have lift engage at 5800 rpm instead of 6300.

..i thnk that's it

I like most of the changes Toyota made to the 03+ Celicas (interior color & lighting, taillights, and antenna (goes down when the radio isn't on, GTS only). However, I don't like how the front end looks on the later generation 7's.
