Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior painting the dash tomorrow

tomorrow i plan on painting my dash...
im gonna paint it yellow to match my car and i want to know how to remove the ash tray door so i can separately paint that piece.. i've tried prying it off before , but its soft and i kinda skrewed it up a little so i stopped.
well i've seen people's painted dash and i was wondering how they pulled it off... also the door that's underneath the clock...how do you pull that off to paint it separately? and should i use primer before i paint it?
i've heard of people using plastic promotor too, can i get that at an automotive store? and should i buy some to use? just want your input thanks

yea i've been there before, but i wanted to know how to pull apart the doors to the ashtray thing and the door under the clock so i could paint them separately...
