Anyone have this for their Celica? Web page says it'll give you as much as 22 additional hp. I was looking at getting a PCM for mine and found this one. anyone know of any better ones? Anyone have this one? Thanks.

Nothing buy forced induction will give you that much power.
What is it, a piggyback ECU?

yeah, it acts as a go between for the engie read-outs and the ECU. My thoughts are that this is a much more controlled way of adding hp. Plus it can be turned on and off with the flick of a switch. BTW, here's the web address: http://www.jetchip.com/

The Apexi replacement ECU does work though, since it COMPLETELY replaces our entire ECU. They are quite expensive though, and you have to have it calibrated by a pro, which means having dynos of your car taken, etc. Definitely not something meant for an average enthusiast.

Yeah, I kinda thought the same thing. I was actually hoping that Hypertech would have a power programmer for our ECU's, but unfortunately they don't. I've seen what Hypertech can do with a mustang... 43hp gain on a stock Cobra.

I could be wrong but I think the Apexi is the only stand alone replacement ECU for our cars. Is that what you want, or are you looking for a fuel management system?

I was checking out the Power FC from Apexi. I don't live anywhere near any of the power excel shops to get it tuned properly. I do like their S-AFC though. I'm not sure of the benefits of it though.

Unless I missed something, none of those posts have to do with the JET V-Force PCM. The V-Force isn't a chip, it's a piggyback system. The posts you referred to didn't cover this piece of equipment. And I do make an effort to check before posting.

And I do make an effort to check before posting. so far only one piggy back has been proven to work and thats the split second piggy back ecu, you still have to have it tuned, and the only person using them is stafford fabrications on their Turbo set ups. other than that only other alernative is the apexi power fc, I cant see how you would concider a product from a company that is already known to not work or provide any gains, on a conglomerate of vehicles, not just the celica. the posts i linked were so you could get a general understanding of piggy backs & chips in general so questions like this would not be asked again.
