I have just read from C&D that the new Lotus has only an oil cooler because they thought that oil starvation wasn't the problem, just oil temperatures. So Lotus has an oil cooler on the new car because of reliability and durability of the Toyota/Yamaha engine in high periods of lift. I always thought the Toyota engine was week in many areas above 6,000 RPM's. Would just getting an oil cooler be sufficient? Other than maybe new valves or a baffled oil pan (00 GTS) and the ProDrive Oil Pump? Should I look into the Oil Pump and Oil Cooler + baffled pan? I plan on pushing it hard in long periods above 6,000 RPMs and around turns of course. What's the consensus?

either way both mods are going to be very expensive, I've looked into an oil cooler and good lines for it will be very costly.

But i do know someone who has blown their engine due to oil starvation, he gets a claimed 1.4 lateral G.
