Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior Neon lighting question...

Ok I've been thinking about adding neon lighting to my car for awhile now but I think I want to go with some footwell neons for now just to see how I like it. My quesiton is how do I wire it to the dome lighting? That way the lights turn on when the doors open or you unlock the car. I still want to keep the on off switch but I'd like to do it like that.

now if done is it possible to make it so you can still turn the dome light on ( thought no when the car opens obviously ) if needed? If not not to big of a deal but would be useful.

I know it's possibly I'm just not sure how to do it. Also I've never really done to much work on a car at all, I'm more an electronics man (computers etc...) so I'm begining to wonder if I should just shell out some money to have somebody install it for me.
