see the new issue of car and driver...test of the lotus Elise... 0-60 in 4.4 secs...with the GTS motor weights like 1900 something lbs... and had 1.06 g on the skidpad...
car looks pretty sweet, what you guys think?? pricy though..40K
The Supra & GT All Trac were Toyota's "top" cars. But we know what happened to those. Toyota is in the market to make a profit, whether it's with the Camry, Tundra, Tacoma, or Sienna. There's not much profit in sport cars.
True ... and they have been highly successful with what they've been doing in terms of bussiness.. seeing as the sports compact market isn't as huge as cars more senisible for the average family ... camry.. Sienna... trucks...
LNK "you only need something when you know it exists..then it becomes a want"
cobb stage 1 you should be able to pull some sick 1.7 60' times and put yourself easily into the 4's
0-60 is NOT my cars strong point. 10 - 120 is where my car owns I need to work on more upper power though. it'll pull to 140 just not as quick as I'd like.

i'm gonna have Cobb Stage 2, with GT spec headers and uppipe, a lighter crank pulley, Forge BOV, TurboXS short ram
with that, i should be at +80 whp
with cobb stage 2 ALONE, they had 4.2 0-60 running... if that was accurate..i think i'll be in low 4's.. should be about 240 to the wheels... all within a month
No way. The Intake won't do anything (intake temp differences are trivial on Turbo cars because the Intake charge is going to be heated tothe same temp whether it starts warm or cold), you don't need a BOV. Leave the header stock, your money would be better spent on a bigger Turbo. The stock header flows fine.
Buy a UTEC, have a custom Turboback made, get a big FMIC, and ditch the crappy RE92s (Falken Azenis will treat you right). That's all you need. You would probably gain about 80whp (60 from the UTEC and exhaust, approx 20 more from more boost with the bigger IC) over a stock WRX (170whp). 250whp will rock your socks and you'll be out about $3000, and completely ready for a ridiculous new Turbo.
cobb stage 2 adds 54 whp GT spec headers and GT spec uppipe give me 25 more whp and are awesome...the headers give you good high end, but either way, i don't have to put them on...
the Intakes don't do shit i know, but adding one that acts like stock won't harm anything...won't run too rich or anything, i've done the research, i'm not stupid...TurboXS is perfect
VF34 Turbo is the upgrade i would get for 700 bucks.. but i'm not looking for a bigger Turbo yet, i'm not here to race the car, i'm here to mod it the way i want to and be happy...
as for the BOV, i want an atmospheric BOV so i can hear it and get one that isn't going to harm anything once again...
