somewhere in here i heard that borla makes the TRD exauhst. is this true and if so wouldnt a borla exauhst give about the same sound and Performance as a TRD for less than half the price. i say this because i went to a local so cal muffler shop and i can get a borla for 150 bucks... confused

Borla did not make the TRD exhaust, the designs are very close, so is the Magnaflow design. The other celica site has more info on this topic.

I would go with Borla or Magnaflow, both well know for great sound and gains for domestic cars. Don't see why it would be any different for imports.

If Borla makes the TRD exhaust, then I'm the freaking Pope grin

Most people around here will tell you to go w/TRD 'cuz it's been tested out the ying yang. $150 sounds too good to be true.

Take a chill pill dude, it was a joke. You see the grin at the end of the sentence, that means it's a joke.

And $150 for a brand new axel back exhaust is too good to be true. The lowest priced on an exhaust that I have ever seen was when Titanmotorsports.com had the THMR & TSMR on sale for $350 shipped. I'm not saying the guy at the muffler shop is gonna rape you, but it seems like he's giving you a really good deal. You must know the person in order to get a deal like that. I'm just saying don't jump in head first.
