Hello everyone, the reason I'm asking is that I'm planning on moving to Vancouver, Canada and would like to take my celica with me. One of their required modifications is:

Metric speedometer and odometer labels

How can the odometer count kilometers as opposed to miles?? Is this something that can be done by myself, or is it a dealership thing???

Thanks!

i would think the computer would have to be reprogrammed. I dont think this is a do-it-yourself mod.

you would have to get the cluster that's made to be in canada, that's all.

it's not a requirment, my friend bought his car from the states and he drives it in mph and didn't have any problems insuring it.

but i cant remember the site name but they had custom gauge faces and for an extra 5 bucks you could get it in km/h
it was on a recent post.

yeah, you can just put in a gauge face that has the km/h in the big numbers and just remember that the odo and trip are in miles. Simple as that. I'd just check a Canadian Toyota dealer for the gauge face or if you can find an aftermarket one, fo for it cause it will probably be nicer. thumbsup

If you wish I can call my local dealer to see if they have a price on it. Let me know. thumbsup
