So I'm planning on painting my whole interior over the next few weeks. My original plan was to do black and red. The natural contor where there speakers in the door "swoop" around into the center console and around to the other side I was going to paint red. With the rest of the dash black. And some red highlights therein. But now I'm not so sure how I'd like the red. I have a silver celica with red lights...maybe black and silver interior? What do you guys think. I need to decide before tomorrow! As much as I love black and red I don't know about living with it...

i used red cailiper paint from pep boys on my interior and it is sweet (red gts). Just take your time and follow the instructions. if it says wait 1 hour before second coat, WAIT 1 hour, my friend did four coats in 45 mins and it looks like crap. also use a good white primer base and a good clear coat, and go a little heavy with the clear coat, 5 or 6 light coats. It is not a hard job just time consuming but it is cheap and looks sweet.

I used Duplicolor. Wal-Mart, Autozone sell them. First use primer then the paint and then clear coat. But before all that wash it and sand it with 600 grit.

um... testors is a NO for the entire interior (i'm assuming you mean dash, door panels, center piece, and all of the rear plastics as well?)

Brake caliper paint is also a NO, it won't remain flexible enough to last a long time on the interior of a car.

I posted a guide on how to do this a while ago...

here's the link!
