I was at a red light and i dont know but i put it in nuetral (auto) so a cop pulls up to me no big deal. Then the light turns green and i hit the gas and the car revs up real high and my natural reaction is to put into gear. So I hit it into drive real quick and did a burn out. The cop pulls me over and i explained what happened and he let me go. LOL kinda funny. Then i saw a riced out 350z it had a giant aluminum wing and two angled coffee cans coming out the back. So it was an eventful ride home.

Yeah they can, I believe it's disturbing the peace (if the exhaust is loud). Also, they can give you a ticket for peeling out, or burning rubber.

Haha..yeah, we called that a nuetral slam. Funny how the term changes a little bit from place to place.

Cops will pop you for anything they can twist words on. Glad to hear you didn't get a ticket or anything. thumbsup

A. why the hell did you do that? That's stupid, especially with an auto tranny.
B. The ticket they give is an exhibition of speed, which is only a secondary offense, meaning that you had to have done something else wrong first in order to get it. It's similar to not wearing a seatbelt.

I have been seeing a commercial on TV saying that around the country, the police are cracking down on seat belts. It says

hehe...you revved by accident??? I do it on purpose and get away with it. Don't know how...but I do, no kidding. It helps that I choose the cops who already stopped someone else and are filling out paperwork. grin I don't give a F--- about cops. If they pull me over after revving at them, I'll just say that my clutch slipped because it's going bad. And if I spin my wheels...I'll just tell them I'm learning how to drive stick...and if they ask why I haven't learned by now since I've had the car registered...I'll say that another family member was driving it and now it's mine. "Remember how hard it was for you when you were first learning" and all that hehe. grin There's always a good answer for everything.

Yeah.. I've always wanted to race a cop.. the wheel spin is what got you; revving just is: oh my foot slipped, I'm real sorry officer, and I'm so embarrased.

Your both kind of right. I wasn't joking about my reply and anyone here kind of older would remember my post or reply about racing a cop (those that want to believe it). I went about a mile or 2 and it wasn't 1/4 mile style either. I got off only because of the new car theory as I got off before for taking a turn at 60 in a 15 MPH while a cop was sitting on the side of the road. "I'm sorry officer I miss shifted. I thought I was putting it in third and downshifted by accident." You can't beat the new car get off. Works every time. It's a get out of jail free card. Even better than a PBA.

That's BS, you can't do a neutral bomb on a Celi by accident. The computer does not allow it. The engine revs down before it goes into gear.

I thought you were talking about me. I don't know about auto Celicas nor want to (B.A.C. Ban the Automatic Club)., but I have a neutral bomb waiting to go off in my pants and that's real BS.

I sure have, but you can't do it by accident. Rev the piss out of it, dump it in neutral .. it will rev way down before it finally grabs the gear. The computer prevents it.

Yah, I tried the new car get off on a speeding ticket ... it didn't work. 3 hours after I bought my celi; it took the cops 20 minutes to come back to the car & ask why I wasn't in his computer. I said the car was registered about 3 hours ago I guess. He laughed & gave me the friggin ticket anyway.

some people look like criminals...j/k grin...nah that sux...Despite the existence of "noble" or decent people in this world, most of these people would rather choose a higher paying noble job than a lower paying "noble" cop job (not enough considering the cost of living). What we are left with is a few noble people who really want to be cops, and a few crummy people who are corrupted by the power it brings...(e.g. laughing at you while giving the ticket is a clear indication of moral corruption and a sadistic nature). A true "noble" professional would not have done this. Alas, if we really want to attract quality people to law enforcement who are reasonable, not the common pig, then we must as a society increase the level at which law enforcement is compensated for what it entails. It's not only a focus on skills, which are society often places too much emphasis on, but a inevitably a focus on character.

Cop jobs here sure aren't lower paying. A guy I know about who's about 26 on the Metro force who has no rank (just a constable) makes $120,000 a year before overtime and security cash jobs ($50/hr under the table).

In most cases they are overpaid ego tripping kids who are given a gun and a license to harass people. thumbsdown
