What I bought: VIS Carbon Fiber hood scoop

Price: $126 (and change)

Shipping turn around: 14 days (purchased 5/18/04, in my hands 6/1/04)


The group buy price is fantastic, I've seen these scoops sell as high as $300 each. So paying Fiberglass prices for Carbon Fiber is awesome.

But idesigns/design1/wideGTS does have its problems. Contact, other than PM on this site, is horrible. Mike does answer PM in a timely fashion but trying to call him is another story. I don't like dealing with a "company" you can't get on the phone, so big on that.

Mike did call me when I asked him to do so in a PM, that should be noted in his defense.

There web site, worthless. Shipping was slow, but Mike claims that was the fault of a poor employee. One can only wonder. Mike did fix that issue, and I now have the scoop.

Bottom line: Poor website, slow shipping, horrible phone service, great price. I did get the item I ordered but I would really have to think hard on another purchase from him.

On a 4 star system I give idesign 2 stars. I hope Mike can work out these issue with his company, they have promise but they're not there yet.

You cant satisfy everyone, but all we can do is try.

ask other members that has worked with us, like

fracted, virgil, speed4theneed, and so forth... and youll see, majority is all good.


some people dont understand the whole process of order with this aftermarket industry

some people cant wait, even tho it was specified that shipping takes 4-6weeks

... so on and so forth

so if you dont want to order from our company, thats fine with us. Not to be mean, but well,

that site itself will show we resolve any type of complaints, if any. Havin this business since 99, ... thats all i gotta say.

My post was not a flame just the 100% truth of how my sale went down. My overall point is I've ordered a lot of parts for my car from various online companys and this purchase scores low. Suprastore, Crutchfield, ECelicaStore (plenty more, just naming a few) are examples of companys that gave me flawless service, all less than 4 day turn around and never once had to ask where my order was.

Your original post may have said 4-6 weeks but you PM said less than a week, you know the story as good as I Mike. If you had never said that then I would never have made an issue of it, and if the shipping had never been botched in the first place.

Again not a flame, just how it went down. I have no hard feelings on the issue, after all I am sporting a VIS carbon fiber scoop. What does that tell ya.

Ill give Mike for very fast shipping/great product.
