hi, my car has around 31k and i don't know if the previous owner changed the brakes. the brakes just started squeaking a couple of days ago after i took it to the car wash. it only squeaks up until about 10-15 mph, but then it only squeaks slightly when i'm going a bit faster. also when i first take the car out, the noise is a lot louder, but after i drive it around a bit, it settles down. do you think i need new pads? i don't think the brakes fade that much, then again, i don't know how much they should fade. i live in a dusty area, so do you think it could just be brake dust? tell me what you think

try using the Brake cleaner stuff to see if that'll stop the sqeaking..if not then i think you need to pads for sure..plus you don't know how the previous owner drove the car..my car is doing the same thing except it only sqeak when i back out..fucking annoying.. angry

Well good luck..

here is a thought pul the wheel and look and see how much brake pad you have left.

if teh sensors are touching yoru rotor or are close change em.

also check the pad behind the rotor those do not have sensor tabs to sqeak always check those

definetly have ur brakes checked. all of a sudden squeaking noise is a sign of messed up brakes. be sure to check it out asap before it messes up ur rotors. and no, brake change is not every 30,000 miles, depends how much you brake.
