yea i saw it... sorta a repost but its pretty cool that it has faster 0-60 time then stock GTS and is only making 166 hp compared to 180... but i think you can spend 44,000 grand in a much better way

thats because it has more tq then the gts, gets off the start faster, it would be awesome if someone could have that supercharger on and then put on a Turbo as well!! You would have lower end hp and higher end!!!

what did they say their 1/4 mile time for the SC celica GT was? 15.1? that 15.1 was with 19 inch rims, and a heavy ass body kit. remember how much lucky's bomex kit slow'd him down? he ran .2 slower on the 1/8th mile just from adding his kit on. so take the widebody kit off the celica they tested and you can expec a 14.8, then put some 15 inch rims on it, and expect low 14's

GT has potential, it has a lower compression rate and I believe you can push more out of it, correct?

The SC GT featured in Speed or Boost magazine (which ever) was really sad though for the overall amount spent.

Correct, the GT has lower compression, so you can put more boost through it than with a GTS.

actually, it is possible, the trd sc runs like a 7.5psi of boost, and you can get the Turbo from sf for example with 8 psi, that puts you at almost 16psi, with all new internals, the engine can handle up to 22, and more, so do the math and theres no reason why the gt cant handle it. so now why do you say that i dont know what i am taling about???

if you were going to spend $$$$$ on a setup like that, using a 2ZZ engine would be retarded.

so you're telling me that an aluminum block wont take a setup like that, yet ive seen many 4banger aluminum blocks run 28psi of boost plus a shot of nitrous while running a race, dont tell me that an aluminum block cant handle that, total psi will be 16, so if it can handle 28 why wouldnt it be able to handle 16, get your facts right!!

Meh, I don't think rims and a body kit would prove that dramatic of a time reduction in the quarter mile. Besides, the car mags don't push the cars to their potential in the first place.
